A good friend of mine Al, who is a highly respected teacher once said to me:

I'm too poor to make the wrong decision

This didn't mean he was poor, as he had a good job, it didn't also mean he was wealthy. What it meant was that he couldn't afford to spend the same money twice nor, did he have the time to make the decision again and wait for a new solution to arrive.

This would happen if he made the wrong decision. 

Al had learnt that making the wrong decision mean't he either had to do one of the following:

1. Live with the decision and endure regret or;

2. Make another purchase that was hopefully more informed this time!


Making the wrong decsion can at a miniumum cause regret. It can also mean you waste precious time and money and may require you to wait longer for the right solution. This applies to most decisions.
